Standard rooms within block are offered at a discounted rate of $199 per night plus 14.95% tax for a standard guest room.
Basic internet access is included in the guestroom rate.
Reservations must be made by our cut-off date on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 and cannot be guaranteed even before this date.
Policies
Refunds, minus an administrative fee of $150 for registrations will be issued on written cancellations received on or before June 11, 2021. Phone cancellations WILL NOT be accepted. Registrants assume full responsibility for notification to and verification of receipt by GI. All refunds will be processed 2-3 weeks after the meeting. Refunds on reception tickets will be refunded minus a $10 administrative fee if cancelled by the deadline.
Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, flight/transportation cancellations, unattended events or early departure. In the rare event of a meeting cancellation, GI is not responsible for nor will provide refunds for costs associated with travel, airfare, hotel or transportation costs incurred by the registered attendee. It is always recommended that the registrant considering purchasing independent travel insurance.
Giving Institute Summer Symposium registration fees are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as a business expense. Consult your tax advisor.
Registration and attendance at or participation in the GI Summer Symposium constitutes an agreement by the registrant to GI's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproduction and audiotapes of such events activities.
Statement on Health and Safety Protocols
The Giving Institute is committee to the safety and security of our attendees. GI staff is in close contact with Marriott staff to ensure the 2021 Symposium meets and exceeds the Mayflower Hotel’s health and safety standards. Current Washington, DC regulations outline that non-vaccinated individuals must receive a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of travel to DC unless coming from a low-risk area. Additionally, a mask mandate is still in effect in indoor spaces unless actively eating or drinking. Updated May 11, 2021
