Giving Institute Mentor Series and November Board Meetings November 2-3, 2022
The Mentor Series brings together leaders in the world of philanthropy and those newer to the profession for a day of educational sessions focused on career skills that will benefit all involved. The Mentor
Series registration will be $350, excluding travel and hotel costs. All Giving Institute Members receive complimentary registration for the November and March Board meetings and education sessions.
Any and all attendees are welcome to join the Giving Institute Board Meeting and GivingUSA Board Meeting. Only Voting Directors are permitted to vote on motions during the Board Meetings.

Speaker:Brian Crimmins (Chief Executive Officer, Changing Our World) A one size fits all approach to engaging donors may be efficient, but will it drive the results you want? Will this develop lifelong authentic relationships with your donors? Based on the trends seen across different generational and demographic groups, it would seem that you would be leaving generosity and relationship capital on the table. This session will be focused on both macro-level generational trends as well as some specific micro-level engagement strategies. Like many organizations, the Giving Institute is facing the realities of a changing marketplace and demographic shifts in the sector. True to the Giving Institute’s strategic plan’s commitment on advancing diversity, equity and inclusion as well as creating pathways for greater societal generosity, a framework that guides the organization’s DEI work was developed in early 2022. Join us for a session that kicks off the first in a series of member engagements that will activate our DEI commitment. 1:00 - 1:45pm Education Program #3: Leading Change: Building Resilient Shops Through Succession Planning Crystal Room
Speakers:- Alexis Cooke (Chief Operating Officer, Alford Group) - Ben Golding (President & Chief Executive Officer, Advancement Resources) All teams experience turnover and must evolve in order to thrive. It is through successful planned transitions that these same teams grow to be healthier, more diverse, and more inclusive. Succession planning is key to both internal leadership development as well as future planning for possible transitions. This facilitated session will tap into the experience of both the audience and those leading the discussion. Each participant will have a chance discuss succession planning through small group conversations. Reservations should be made no later than October 24, 2022 and cannot be guaranteed even before this date.
Policies
Refunds, minus a $50 administrative fee for all events for which a fee was charged, will be issued on written cancellations received on or before October 24, 2022. Phone cancellations WILL NOT be accepted. Registrants assume full responsibility for notification
to and verification of receipt by the Giving Institute 2022 November Meetings. Refunds will be processed 2-3 weeks after the meeting.
Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, flight/transportation cancellations, unattended events or early departure. In the rare event of a meeting cancellation, Giving Institute is not responsible for nor will provide
refunds for costs associated with travel, airfare, hotel or transportation costs incurred by the registered attendee. It is always recommended that the registrant considering purchasing independent travel insurance.
The Giving Institute registration fees are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as a business expense. Consult your tax advisor.
Registration and attendance at or participation in the GI 2022 November Meetings constitutes an agreement by the registrant to GI's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproduction and audiotapes of such events activities.
